Our 8th annual Prom held on Saturday April 7 was a great success. This night is a highlight for patients and staff alike. Thank you to all who are involved in making this a special event, especially the Minnesota School of Cosmetology for the salon where all prom attendees were invited to get free hair, nails and makeup done. Teens who have endured a variety of surgeries and treatments for orthopaedic conditions throughout childhood were able to forget about their special needs for the evening and experience going to a prom. Patients even traveled from North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan and Wisconsin to attend. We're already looking forward to next year! Watch the news story featured on CBS here.
Matching Braces
When 8 year old scoliosis patient Kory came in for a new brace this week our staff organized a special surprise - a matching brace for her baby doll she brings to visits. Kory says it’s “pretty cool!” and can’t wait to show her friends and family!
The Gala
Imagine a child, who was told he would never walk, running into the arms of his parents for the first time. At Shriners Hospitals for Children – Twin Cities, we believe every child has the opportunity to reach their fullest potential. We help kids achieve their dreams.
On Friday, June 1, join us as we celebrate 95 years of helping children with orthopedic conditions, regardless of a family’s ability to pay. Our third gala promises to be more than just another fundraiser. We will inspire you to help kids be kids, balancing the right mix of philanthropy and fun.
All proceeds benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children – Twin Cities.
