GREETERS |
| MAIN ACTIVITY: Tile nobles at events (stated meetings and ceremonials), participate in parades, greet and usher at installation ceremony, usher at Circus, serve at registration table at Potentate's Ball, serve at Hospital Clinics, greet children and parents at the Shrine Christmas Party and serve at any activity at the request of the Potentate and Divan. EVENTS/FUNCTIONS: Greeters hold nine dinner/business meetings during the year and our ladies are invited to attend. INVOLVEMENT OF FAMILY MEMBERS: Our ladies serve as our "calling committee" to obtain reservations for the meetings mentioned above. And, our ladies often assist Greeters in clinic assignments and in greeting at functions as requested by the Potentate. MEETINGS: We meet on the second Thursday evenings in February, March, April, May and June, and in September, October, November and December. We use the Shrine Activities Center and other suitable locations where private meting rooms are available. ANNUAL DUES: $15.00 ADDITIONAL COSTS: Upon inducting a new member, there is a charge for the Fez strip, white gloves, and name tags for the member and Lady. And there is one-time membership fee of $12.50. |
